Red One with Mysterium X sensor
The RED Digital Cinema Company has, as is common news, recently begun offering sensor upgrades for it’s RED One camera. Decidedly the camera of choice for many types of productions these days, the Mysterium X sensor greatly improves upon the ‘digital cinema revolution’ with a lower noise floor effectively giving the camera much higher sensitivity levels. Coupled with the new color science of Build 30, it’s a terrific advance in image making. Digital Film Studios has taken delivery of its first ‘MX’ camera in March of 2010, with more cameras in the process of being upgraded.
